BioProcess Technology Consultants Names Wolfgang Noe as Senior Consultant
BioProcess Technology Consultants, world leader in biopharmaceutical technical, strategic, and regulatory CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) consulting, has appointed Dr. Wolfgang Noe as Senior Consultant.
Dr. Noe was most recently Vice President, Strategic Development & Technical Alliance for Biogen Idec, overseeing the development and implementation of single-use technologies, PAT, and other new technologies. He was with Biogen Idec for 10 years, joining IDEC Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Director of Process Sciences. After the merger with Biogen, he led the integration of the two process development groups as Vice President of Biopharmaceutical Development, focusing on innovation, establishing platform approaches and process harmonization.

Dr. Noe previously held positions in process development and clinical manufacturing and also led manufacturing alliance efforts at Boehringer Ingelheim, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry from the University of Tuebingen, Germany and has been a frequent speaker on the topics of cell culture development and biologics process optimization. ”I’m very happy to have the opportunity to continue my long-term efforts in accelerating product development from ‘clone to clinic’ and beyond.
